Disa - Diyarbakır Institute for Political and Social Research is an independent civil society organization dedicated to studying Turkey’s social, political, and cultural structures through a local yet universal lens. The institute focuses on areas such as the Kurdish issue, peace processes, democratization, gender, human rights, and memory studies.
Disa aims to strengthen social memory through scientific research, enrich public discourse, and serve as a bridge between policymakers and society. It prioritizes amplifying local knowledge and voices to a broader public audience.
